Phoenix, AZ – June 24, 2024 – SharpMed, LLC, a pioneer in innovative medical solutions, is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with AMS Micromedical, a leading medical device manufacturer in the United States, to produce the groundbreaking Turbo® O₂ Cap. This device is designed to reduce or eliminate hypoxia during difficult intubations, marking a significant advancement in emergency medical technology. The commercial launch of the Turbo® O₂ Cap is anticipated in Q4 2024.

AMS Micromedical, renowned for its high precision engineering, CNC machining, and injection molding capabilities, will manufacture the Turbo® O₂ Cap at its state-of-the-art, 29,000-square-foot facility in Sparta, Wisconsin. This facility is ISO-certified and FDA-approved, ensuring the highest quality standards. Tom Arendt, the visionary founder of AMS, has cultivated an environment where engineers and medical device professionals collaborate to produce custom, ultra-precise, USA-made products.

“We are thrilled to partner with AMS Micromedical,” said Dr. Chris Salvino, President and Founder of SharpMed. “Their expertise and commitment to excellence will enable us to bring the Turbo® O₂ Cap to market efficiently and reliably. Both teams share a culture of innovation and collaboration, which is vital for advancing medical technology.”

The Turbo® O₂ Cap, protected by two issued patents and four pending, has demonstrated remarkable results in preclinical trials. Research has shown that in large animals whose breathing had stopped, the Turbo® O₂ Cap maintained oxygen levels above 97% for over 15 minutes. “These results are outstanding,” said Dr. Salvino. “The Turbo® O₂ Cap promises to be a game-changer in emergency and critical care settings.”

With this manufacturing agreement, SharpMed anticipates that the Turbo® O₂ Cap will be available for shipment to customers in Q4 of 2024. This partnership marks a significant step forward in SharpMed’s mission to enhance patient outcomes and revolutionize emergency medical care.
