Scottsdale, AZ – For Immediate Release — SharpMed, LLC, a privately-held medical device company, announced today that Mr. Manny Montoya has joined the Leadership Team as Chief Strategy Officer.

Mr. Montoya brings twenty-two years of exceptional healthcare sales and strategy expertise to SharpMed™. He has served in executive leadership roles at Aquyre Biosciences, Z-Medica, Mauna Kea Technologies, EndoGastric Solutions, Intuitive Surgical, and Ethicon Endo-Surgery – a Johnson & Johnson company.

Mr. Montoya has a considerable history within the medical device industry including building high-performing commercial teams, developing and executing go-to-market strategies, negotiating with medical device strategics for both product licensing opportunities and acquisition, pricing and reimbursement modeling and implementation, and valuation modeling/contract design.

In his own words, he has, “a passion for building, launching, and transforming medical devices from ‘nice to haves’ into ‘need to haves.’” Specifically, he is focused on products that provide new solutions to some of the most intractable healthcare issues.

Mr. Montoya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arizona. He has completed the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and has earned a Certificate in Business Excellence (CIBE) from Columbia Business School. Mr. Montoya is also an Associate Member of the American Bar Association, Public Contract Law Section.
